Recycling tube for old light bulbs

In the end, I got tired of the broken light bulbs floating around on the kitchen counter. I saw a really neat solution on the web with a papertube with a loop hanger to collect them. But as buying one wouldn't be enough sport I decided to make one myself. As I currently don't have a good place to hang the tube, I left the loop hanger out for now. Eventually, when our recycling station is a bit more organized it will be easy to insert one. And as it was to sit visibly in the kitchen, I choose the prettiest scrapbook paper that I had in stock. The paper tube is a poster tube that is cut to the same height as the scrapbook paper (30.5 cm). I used double sided tape and some glue to glue the paper onto the paper tube, hoping that I won't get in trouble for not varnishing it. I use the original plastic seals to seal the bottom and to use as lid. Done.
