Personalized easter eggs

This post may be a bit late for this year, but there will always come another easter.

Of some reason it is cheaper to buy easter eggs that have already been decorated, than it is to buy easter eggs to decorate. I had two standard rather boring eggs lying around. I painted them with ordinary white carpenter paint and let them dry. I then used wood glue to decopage them with paper napkins. The final touch was to add lace around the edges.

wall fabric

A collegue gave me a piece of fabric that I really like so I thought - what better way to use it than to put it on the wall? I used the fabric to cover an old boring board and my plan was to use it for collecting my ideas. The fabric is cut with a margin so that I can attach it on the back of the board. The padding is cut somewhat smaller than the fabric so that the clamps only need to pierce the fabric and not the padding. As the back side of the board is made of cork, I also put clamps around the wooden frame so that it will hold. Cork don't hold clamps well... I also used a cotton ribbon attached with clamps as a hanger. It took me less than 15 minutes to finish this board. The thing is now that I am rather hesitant to cover the pretty fabric with my scraps....
